In this research project, we questioned the physical mode of interaction with mobile phones. At the time of this project, the iPhone had not yet been released and the majority of phones offered a small screen and the typical 4x3 array of buttons.

We explored a series of new interaction paradigms through sketches, videos, and functioning prototypes.

Stick, click 'n' call

Using personalized stickers to call contacts directly. By pressing the embedded foil switch the RFID's antenna is connected and picked up by the phone.

Using the casual gesture of slapping to silence an incoming call.
